Grand Oaks of Palm City’s AHCA Survey Results Show Zero Deficiencies

The AHCA survey results are in, and Grand Oaks of Palm City has a lot to be excited about! Recently, an unannounced re-licensure survey was conducted by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) at Grand Oaks of Palm City. Upon completion of the in-depth inspection, AHCA reported that Grand Oaks had zero deficiencies!

AHCA is responsible for licensing and regulating health care facilities throughout Florida, as well as providing information to the community about the quality of care each facility provides. AHCA routinely conducts unannounced surveys of assisted living communities throughout Florida to help ensure that residents consistently receive quality healthcare in a safe, enriching environment.

The average number of deficiencies for a nursing or assisted living facility is seven, making Grand Oaks of Palm City’s deficiency-free AHCA survey results all the more noteworthy.

“I’m so very proud of our staff for this amazing accomplishment,” said Laurie Allen, Grand Oaks of Palm City Administrator. “Earning a zero deficiency rating shows how committed we are to providing our residents with the best possible care in the best possible environment.”

During the extensive inspection, AHCA field officers reviewed numerous Grand Oaks of Palm City administrative policies and procedures, as well as medical records, staffing reports and other documents, and adherence to COVID-19 protocols. They also conducted interviews with residents, family members and visitors, and they closely observed employees as they performed their assigned duties. At the end of the survey, AHCA determined that there were no issues or violations—Grand Oaks of Palm City had zero deficiencies!

The recent AHCA survey results, as impressive as they are, aren’t surprising to many Grand Oaks staff members, residents, or their families, however. Grand Oaks of Palm City has received zero-deficiency AHCA survey results before, giving them an esteemed track record of healthcare and operations excellence within the assisted living industry. Grand Oaks resident Barbara G. says she chose to live at Grand Oaks of Palm City because her friends heard it was a great place to live, and she agrees. “I’m so happy here,” she says.
